Privacy policy

We store one-to-one messages and message requests, conversation participants, and read timestamps. Conversation access is limited to its participants through the app. Blocking stops new messages; existing conversation history may remain available to participants. Contact admin@noira.us to report a message or request removal of retained content.

Your optional home country or territory appears on Global only when you choose to share it and your profile is public. It represents where you are from, not a live or precise location. You can change or remove your region in Settings.

Creator applications contain the introduction, content focus, links, and motivation you submit. You can see your application and feedback. Authorized administrators review applications and record approval decisions. Application content is not displayed publicly as part of your profile.

We store your email/SMS and update-category preferences. Campaign drafts and queued activity events support notification delivery; external sending remains disabled until delivery setup is complete. Existing accounts are not automatically opted into new campaigns. You can turn these preferences off in Settings.

The Movement helps people recognize those who shaped their lives, share thank-yous, and explore their connections. This policy describes how information is handled at themovement.live. Contact the team at admin@noira.us with privacy questions or requests.

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, and basic profile information, such as your name and profile picture. We use this information to authenticate you and establish your account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, calendar, or Google contacts.

We store information you provide through profiles and features: your name, optional username, biography, avatar or photo, preferences, thank-you messages and attachments, recognition and invitation relationships, network status, friendships and requests, reactions, saved items, reports, and blocks.

If someone recognizes a person who has not joined, they can provide that person's name and email address or phone number. We use those details to associate the recognition with its intended recipient and support account claiming. Contact us about an unclaimed profile or information someone supplied about you.

Our hosting and authentication providers process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and security or error logs, to deliver and protect the service. Authentication uses cookies or browser storage to maintain your session.

We use information to provide accounts, profiles, recognition, the connection map, friendships, and account controls; to moderate content and prevent abuse; to diagnose failures; and to respond to requests. Google account information is used for sign-in and account features, not advertising. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Public profiles and public recognitions can be seen by other people, including visitors who are not signed in. Shared links and search engines may expose or retain public content. Avoid including private contact details or sensitive information in public messages, biographies, and media.

Private recognition messages have more limited access than public messages. Profile privacy is separate: it hides your profile page from other people and removes you from profile search, and hides your node and its lines from other people on the map. Aggregate network totals may still include eligible private members. Administrators may access information needed to operate the service and handle safety reports.

Friendship records are available to the participants. Find on the map shows a person's position in the connection graph, not their physical location. The current app does not track live GPS location.

We use Google for Google sign-in, Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, Railway for application hosting, and Cloudflare for domain and DNS services. Providers process information relevant to their role. Information may be processed outside your country; our current Supabase project is hosted in the United States.

We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service or people. We will update this policy before introducing materially different uses of information.

You can edit your profile, change its visibility, manage friendships, block people, and report recognition content. Settings provides JSON and CSV exports of supported profile and recognition information. These exports do not include every operational record.

Settings includes account deletion. It removes your sign-in account and replaces your profile identity with Former member while preserving recognition and invitation history. Deleted accounts no longer count toward network status. Deleting an account does not automatically erase messages, attachments, or information supplied by other people. Contact admin@noira.us for access, correction, or removal requests, including identifying information inside retained content. We may need to verify that a request concerns you before acting on it.

You can also revoke The Movement's Google access through your Google account settings. Revoking Google access does not itself delete information already stored in The Movement.

We retain information while it is needed to operate accounts, preserve shared recognition history, handle safety issues, and meet applicable obligations. Unclaimed profiles and shared content can remain until claimed or removed; they do not currently expire automatically. Provider logs, backups, and stored uploads may remain after an account is deleted. Contact us to request removal or details about a particular record.

We retain keyed fingerprints of verified email addresses and phone numbers to prevent repeat signup credit, including after account deletion. These are not public and do not retain the original contact text. Invitation history and these anti-abuse records remain while needed to preserve network integrity; contact admin@noira.us with removal requests.

We use authentication, access controls, and encrypted connections to protect information. No system can guarantee that information will never be lost or accessed improperly.

The Movement is intended for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact admin@noira.us so we can investigate and address it.

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and communicate material changes through the service or another appropriate channel.
